We will hold a seminar titled "Kansai Electric Power: Current Status, Challenges, and Future Developments of Hydropower Generation." Hydropower, which has a long history, is an important power source as a renewable energy that utilizes the natural blessing of water, excelling in supply stability, economic efficiency, and environmental sustainability, as well as contributing to energy security. As we move towards realizing a carbon-neutral society by 2050, the importance of existing hydropower facilities is increasing. However, many hydropower plants are located in mountainous and remote areas, facing challenges such as the proper maintenance and operation of aging facilities, securing personnel for the business, and adapting to diverse working styles. Small Hydropower Generation "Spin Flow"

WaterWeco® is capable of automatic load tracking and is economically manageable.

The flow rate of water channels and sluices should be more than 2 m³ per second, and an effective drop of about 1.5 meters is a guideline for selecting suitable project sites.

Since around 2009, we have conducted social experiments on standalone micro-hydropower generation in collaboration with local governments and consulting companies, optimizing the Takao Eris Power Station in Niimi City, Okayama Prefecture, which has been in operation since March 2016. We started coordinated operations in Minami-Uonuma City, Niigata Prefecture, from December 2024. The turbine was developed in collaboration with Nagasaki University and Nishinihon Fluid Technology Co., Ltd.
